Doosan to exhibit 20 new machine tools at EMO

Fresh from its successful DIMF 2011 Exhibition in May (11th - 14th), where it launched 39 new machine tools to an audience of over 1000 visitors, South Korean machine tool giant - Doosan Infracore - has announced its line-up for this year's EMO event in Hannover (19th - 24th September 2011).

Exhibiting from its 1,500m2 stand the company will be exhibiting 20 new machine tools at Show and has targeted EMO as a strategic (European) event to reinforce its global ambitions and position as the 'world's top machine tool manufacturer', and to promote the sheer depth and breadth of its machine tool range to Show attendees.

Mills CNC, the exclusive distributor of Doosan machine tools in the UK and Ireland, will be attending the 6 day event and will be on hand to welcome UK and Irish visitors onto the Doosan Stand.

Says Nick Frampton, Mills CNC's managing director:

'EMO is an important event and in many ways is a precursor to what we (Mills) will be exhibiting at MACH 2012.'

The 20 new machines being exhibited at EMO include the following:

Milling

New 5-axis machines

Two new 5-axis machines will be exhibited on the Stand. These include the new DNM 350 5AX 'entry-level' 5-axis machine (15kW/ 12,000rpm spindle) and the larger VC 630 5AX with its integrated workpiece pallet changer.

New large vertical machines

The latest addition to Doosan's popular DNM-series of vertical machining centres will be exhibited at EMO. The new DNM 750L (long-bed option) is equipped with a 15kW/12,000rpm spindle, and will be joined by the powerful Mynx 6500/50 (box guideway) machine.

Doosan's new range of horizontal machines (NHM series and NHP series) will also be represented on the stand as will Doosan's new DBC 110S (horizontal boring machine) with its 110-mm diameter boring spindle.

Turning

The new range of high-productivity Lynx lathes will be represented by the new Lynx 220 LSA (sub-spindle) 2-axis lathe, and other 'turning' highlights on Doosan's Stand will be the Puma 8, 10 and 12" chuck lathes with mill-drill, sub-spindles and Y-axis capabilities, as well as the large Puma 700 XLY lathe (11kW/ 3,000rpm and  +/- 100-mm Y-axis).

Mill - Turn

Completing the new machine line-up will be a new MX 1600ST Mill-Turn centre, a smaller, compact addition to Doosan's best-selling range of MX-multi-axis machines.

Concludes Nick Frampton:

'EMO is an important event in Doosan's calendar – and, because so many new machines are launched here, it's important for us too.

'After EMO the countdown to MACH 2012 starts in earnest for us. Many of the machines being launched in Hannover will be making their UK debuts on our Stand at MACH next year – and that's why EMO has so much significance.'
