Mills is the main attraction at MACH
Date: 22 June 2010
11 machine tools sold... 1500 visitors onto the Stand... generating over 100 enquiries.
Market-leading machine tool specialist - Mills CNC Ltd - has reported that the recently-held MACH 2010 Exhibition at the NEC, Birmingham (7 - 11 June 2010), was a huge success.
With 11 Doosan machine tools sold from its Stand over the 5 days
(order value £1.15M), Mills further confirmed its status and
its reputation as one of the most successful, and fastest-growing,
machine tool companies in the UK.
MACH 2010 has proved to be an important event in Mills'
calendar.
The Company used the Show to launch a number of new Doosan machine tools into the market, including the new range of Puma lathes (Puma 2100, Puma 2600 and Puma 3100), and the new Lynx 300 lathe series.
Other new Doosan machine tools making their MACH debuts were the VC 630/5AX (5-axis machine), the MX 3100 (Mill-Turn Centre), and a DNM 650 vertical machining centre equipped with Heidenhain control.
Says Nick Frampton, managing director at Mills:
'We have had a great MACH Show. The phenomenal interest shown amongst precision manufacturers for the latest Doosan machine tool technology meant that we were rushed off our feet and, over the 5 days, we welcomed well over 1500 visitors onto our Stand.
'There was significant interest from visitors to the new technologies on view, and in addition to the 11 machines sold at the Show - over 100 genuine sales enquiries were also taken. I anticipate that a high percentage of these will be converted into orders in the near future.
The machines sold during MACH reflect both the comprehensiveness of the Doosan range and its wide 'across-the-board' appeal.
Continues Nick Frampton:
'Of the 11 machines sold - 4 were from our lathe/turning centre range, 6 were from our milling machining centre range and 1 was from our MX range of Mill-Turn centres.
'The fact that 3 of these machine tool orders came from companies that were completely new to us is particularly pleasing, and demonstrates the pulling power of Doosan technology and the attractiveness of what Mills has to offer.'
