About turnkey solutions for manufacturing
Mills CNC adopts the role of Prime Contractor in your turnkey project. With expertise and many years of experience, our pre-sales engineering team can confidently take control. We are responsible for the complete management of your turnkey project, from initial planning through to final sign-off.
Our role includes liaising with third party suppliers to make sure that your project runs smoothly and you get the best quality end result at the best price. The main third party suppliers involved in turnkey solutions for manufacturing include automation equipment, tooling, work-holding and cutting fluid manufacturers to name a few.
Why choose a turnkey project?
Turnkey solutions are created to be implemented into a current business process without disruption. You can continue with your daily operations whilst we implement your turnkey project for you, saving you time and money. Gone are the days of chasing up suppliers and receiving costly invoices. We can deliver quicker lead times, saving you indirect costs.
Here at Mills CNC, we provide full support during the whole implementation journey. Our team of experts are on hand to answer any of your questions. Every supplier that we partner with also has your best interests in mind, which results in successful turnkey projects time and time again.
Opting for a turnkey solution means that your communications run perfectly. We can consolidate all departments into one access point. Instead of ringing up designers and suppliers whenever you want to make a change, you can benefit from streamlined communication with one point of contact. As a result, your changes can be implemented quicker.
How do turnkey solutions work?
There are two distinct stages in the turnkey solutions approach handled by Mills CNC – the pre-order process and the post-order process.
At the start of your turnkey project, our pre-sales engineering team will carry out complex machining trials in house. From these results, our experts will then prepare detailed time estimates and production solutions.
Our team will give a final presentation of the recommended turnkey solution. These meetings will involve members from your production, design, quality, H&S teams as well as senior management.
In all turnkey solutions proposed, Mills CNC will underwrite the project according to clear and agreed parameters concerning the scope and scale of supply, thereby removing the element of risk from the customer.
To ensure the most successful turnkey project, a close working relationship between Mills CNC and the customer is critical. For everything to run smoothly, clear communication and defined time frames are required. This will be achieved through a project plan supported by regular, ongoing and strategic meetings involving all parties.
Mills CNC’s Project Management and Applications Engineering team will make sure that the turnkey project is completed on time and on budget. The Mills CNC Service Engineering team will oversee delivery, off-load and positioning of all elements, followed by installation and commissioning of the machines and equipment. Whilst the Applications Engineering team remains on-site to ensure the successful repeat pass-off, and to deliver the agreed training schedule.
