Front cover of winter 2023 edition of Insight Magazine

Latest ‘Winter’ edition of Insight now available from Mills CNC – a riveting read for industry decision makers and opinion influencers.

Mills CNC, the exclusive distributor of DN Solutions’ and Zayer machine tools in the UK and Ireland, has just published a new ‘Winter’ edition’ of Insight – the company’s popular, biannual customer-facing magazine.

Available in digital format at the end of this article, this latest ‘bumper’ edition celebrates Mills’ 50th anniversary with a feature article that charts the company’s development and successes over the last five decades.

From the early days in Norwich in 1974 when the company, then called Mills Marketing Services, was set up by founder, Peter Mills, through to its relocation to Leamington Spa in 2001 and beyond, the history of Mills CNC over the years has certainly been eventful, exceptional…and exciting.

The lead article in this edition of Insight captures and explains the company’s meteoric rise to fame detailing, amongst many highlights, how and why it transformed its business operations from being a UK and Irish distributor for many international machine tool principals, through to it nailing its colours firstly to the Daewoo, then Doosan and, more recently, the DN Solutions’ masts.

“We’ve come a long way since 1974.

“From relatively humble beginnings Mills CNC is now a leading machine tool and automation systems supplier. This hasn’t happened by chance but is down to the vision and strategic stewardship of the company’s different management teams combined with the dedication, skill and determination of all our employees over the past five decades.”

Tony Dale, CEO of Mills CNC

In addition to celebrating Mills’ 50th anniversary this edition of Insight also contains a number of recent customer case studies completed since the last edition of Insight hit the streets in July 2023, as well as retrospective reports on Mills’ attendance at both Seco’s “Inspiration through Innovation” event in October 2023 and Fanuc’s Open House in November 2023.

There’s also a brief write up on DN Solutions’ DVF 4000 – the latest addition to Mills’ best-selling range of simultaneous 5-axis machining centres.

As far as the future is concerned, the ‘Winter’ edition of Insight doesn’t disappoint either with separate articles promoting Mills’ attendance, and stand highlights, at the Southern Manufacturing Show (Stand C160) in February and at MACH 2024 (Hall 19 – stand 110) in April where Mills has the largest stand at the event.

“2023 has been a great year for Mills CNC with combined sales from all our operations topping £78M for the first time in the company’s history.

“In this edition of Insight we may have spent a little time looking back and celebrating our proud and illustrious (50 year) history but, as one might expect from an incontrovertible market leader, our focus is set firmly on the future.”

Tony Dale, CEO of Mills CNC
